Accessibility

Reading preferences, evaluation status, and ways to report barriers.

Our target

We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the implementation target for this website. Evaluation is ongoing. We do not claim full conformance or certification.

Reading and navigation

Choose Accessibility in the header or footer to adjust text size, reduce motion, or increase contrast. Reset preferences restores the website defaults. Settings stay in this browser when local storage is available. Device-level reduced motion is always respected. Browser zoom, keyboard navigation, and the Skip to content link are also available. The settings panel needs JavaScript; the website text and this statement remain readable without it.

Evaluation status

The local review version is checked with automated accessibility rules, keyboard checks, narrow layouts, and enlarged text. These checks do not establish full WCAG conformance. A complete manual screen-reader evaluation and testing with disabled users have not been completed.

Known limitations and alternatives

Linked research PDFs and external videos have not been fully audited for document structure, captions, transcripts, or audio description. External websites, Google Maps, and the editor have separate interfaces that are not covered by the public-site checks.

Project pages provide written descriptions of the research without requiring a headset. These summaries are not complete text equivalents of every activity in an immersive experience. Detailed accessible alternatives for individual experiences still need review. The lab location is available as a written address alongside the optional map.

Report a barrier

Contact the lab using the email link below. Include the page address, what was difficult, and the format or assistance you need. Share your browser or assistive technology only if helpful.
